David is President and Chief Executive Officer and a principal of Spectrum, which he founded in 1978. David is responsible for the general management of Spectrum's operation. David has worked with over 120 retirement communities and has significant experience in sales, strategic planning, marketing, advertising, promotions, public relations, marketing research, and fundraising. He is well-known for his motivational leadership and is a frequent speaker and publisher for the CCRC industry. David is also recognized for his consultative approach to training in marketing and sales. David is a graduate of the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina, with a BA in Finance and Real Estate. When David is not working, you will probably find him waterskiing or boating on the lake. He enjoys running with his two Jack Russell terriers, playing golf, snow skiing, and traveling with his wife, Patty. David is past Chair of the local United Way and serves as a Sunday school teacher for the adult couple’s class.
