Karen is Executive Vice President and a principal of Spectrum responsible for managing Spectrum’s Marketing Research and Strategic Planning and Development Divisions and Spectrum corporate strategic planning. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia, with a BA in Anthropology and holds a Master’s Degree in Health Administration from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Karen also has experience in health planning with National Medical Enterprises, the State of Louisiana, the World Health Organization, and served as Project Manager and Executive Director of The Forest at Duke in Durham, North Carolina. Karen has worked exclusively in the industry since 1983 with over 60 communities providing research, development and planning services. In her free time, Karen enjoys weekends at home with her husband and two children. She loves all outdoor sports especially cycling, running with her Jack Russell, skiing, kayaking and yoga..
